Prophetic President Barack Obama.......

The coming of President Barack Obama as the President,United States of America, the very first black man to occupy the White house; was prophetic. Just like the coming of all prophets sent with a special mission and whose comings were usually heralded with pomp and fanfare, that was exactly how President Obama was welcomed to the American Presidency. The coming of Moses was celebrated because the Israelites were in bondage and they needed someone with the capacity of Moses to deliver them from the hands of Pharaoh. And they got exactly what they wanted.Though they accepted Moses as their prophet, they later started questioning and doubting him.It was a torrid encounter, but the Israelites were eventually delivered from bondage. The Israelites later became ingrates, made a calf in the absence of Moses and worshiped a calf. Jesus Christ the messiah's coming was also heralded with fanfare, because he came at exactly when the Israelites needed someone with his capacity to chart a new path for them. The new path was new but it was all embracing and it will eventually give every Israelite a new life.BUT it was obvious the Israelites wanted to continue with their old lifestyle that could only lead to destruction.Prophet Muhammad's coming was also heralded with pomp and fanfare because he came at at time Arabia was at his lowest ebb in morality and Godliness. When the euphoria of his coming was all gone, his immediate family members and chiefs of the city of Mecca were his worst adversaries. It was a group one could call lowly people who accepted Muhammad's message. The challenges that Prophet Muhammad had to face became very enormous. At a time it appeared as if GOD never sent him or He had abandoned him. Some people then started doubting his mission. Prophet Muhammad held on to his sacred teachings. His faith in GOD paid off and Muhammad brought a huge change to Mecca and Medina cities. The message also spread to Persia and other distant lands and to the rest of the world. President Barack Obama is a prophetic president of United States of America. He came with a mission for a Change that American can afford. At a time all Americans would agree that they really wanted a change! They needed the capacity of a new fresh breathe like President Obama. Though the goings are getting tougher by the day,President Obama knows that he is got to get going! Like the prophets of the days of yore, President Obama's strength was his acceptance by the lowly, the Middle-class and women. He creates the enabling environment for the highly people to excel and earn money,he then urged the very highly folks to contribute a token for the maintenance of the lowly people.A mission of caring for the lowly people from the generosity and luxury of the very highly people! President Obama knows that the stronger the institution the better for the American economy and benefits of the whole world. The defining moments are here for President Barack Obama and the people of America. Isn't it better to go forward with the change that President Obama keeps proving that it's a better path for the United States of America to toe than an unknown, untried path that leads no where? The turn around of the economy in the last few months especially in October,2012 as the U.S. economy added 171,000 jobs, well above what the economists had expected is a testimony of how prophetic change is brought about by some somewhat unseen forces. This laudable job growth is a ray of hope and a signal that If the Americans stick with President Barack Obama for the next four years,The Obama administration will put the U.S. economy back on sound footing, incapacitate terrorism in America and around the world, and open a new vista of social and economic development all over the world.NOW will you vote for an unknown and unacceptable economic philosophy that has failed the American people in the past, or vote for a well-known and trusted economic policy that is slowly yielding dividends?? It is up to Americans to decide the next future of America!Like a prophetic change, the coming of President Barack Obama cuts across racial and religious divide. That is the all embracing and exemplary lifestyle that the American people should continue to showcase to the world. In a global village where America is look up to by many people elsewhere,i think the people of America will continue to vote on party lines but never on racial or religious divide. Just like Obama's acceptance was all embracing, his economic policy has also been all embracing! He cared enough for the affluent Americans by providing the enabling environment for them to make more money and give a chunk of it for the benefits of the poor and the needy. He cared so much for the lowly people, children and women that despite their poor economic condition, they will continue to be an important factor in America and saved them from being alienated from the American society. The major problem of the world's economy, including America's,is greed and sheer reluctance of the affluent to give just a mere chunk of their money to take care of the needy. Qaroon was destroyed for his greed during the era of Moses. 'It is easier for a camel to pass through the eye of a needle, than for a rich man to see the kingdom of GOD' became the illustrious quote of Jesus Christ, the messiah during the era of Jesus and Musuluman and his people eventually perished in the era of Prophet Muhammad and his first successor Abubakar Siddiq, because they refused to pay the Zakat- a tax levied on the rich Muslims to take care of the needy Muslims. If politics is expression of economics, the world economy will thrive if a new economic world order of caring for the needy from the affluence of the wealthy people is adopted. In a perilous times like this,at a time of global economic melt down, which has downsize the the world economy by 75% and at a time of Super storm Sandy, our world can only bounce back to life through an all embracing economic policy that is not just masses driven,it is also what i called masses economic-prosperity proven. That seems to be the basic definition of President Obama's economic thrust. Will America go forward with Obama or dare into the unknown? We cant afford to make a choice that will unruly divide the American people. The choice is yours!

Muhammad Rasulullah -The messenger of GOD sent to all peoples all over the world..(PBUH)

In the wake of the recent upheavals over the making of a new video which paints Muhammad, the messenger of GOD in dark colors by an American, this writer posts just a few lines on Facebook and did a single tweet to describe what exactly Muhammad stood for through out his life time. In the holy Qur'an,Allah says, 'We have not sent thee Muhammad,(PBUH)but as a mercy to the entire world'. Then during his life time,Muhammad demonstrated the love for humanity irrespective of their race or creed. He said no individual or race is superior to the others in respect of color or a noble birth or in terms of wealth.Muhammad always reiterates the word of GOD in the Qur'an which reads 'The most honored among you is the one who fears GOD more than others' He loves the Jews, the Christians and even the disbelievers and he dealt with them with justice and equity. So much that he dictated to one of his companions to write a covenant between the Muslims of his time and the Christians. The covenant reads 'In the name of Allah and from Muhammad,The messenger of Allah. 'No bishop shall be removed from his bishopry .No monk shall shall be removed from his monastery. No Muslims should fight a Christian. No Muslims should destroy a church or pick a part of a church to build a mosque. This covenant stands till the day of judgement and any Muslim who contravenes it shall be liable on the day of judgement' Muhammad(PBUH) lived in the 7th century at a time similar to our own 21st century. He lived first in Mecca where he got the divine call and later moved to the city of Medina, where he lived in the midst of the Jews,Christians and the disbelievers. Muhammad, the messenger of GOD was taunted, he was mocked at and even stoned to the point of fainting, but he never raised a finger against his assailants. When Angel Gabriel told him that GOD has sent with him the messenger in charge of the mountains,in case he was interested in using them against his enemies.Muhammad(PBUH) decline to avenge the evil they did to him,he instead;prayed to God. He said 'O GOD guide my people aright, they are ignorant people' More to come ...*When completed i hope to distribute copies to all and sundry,so whoever cares to distribute has my permission to do it# Thank you

Fela Anikulapo-Kuti: A phenomenon of an Uncommon status.......

Fela's music, lifestyle and human rights activism have all endeared him to millions of Nigerians and people around the world. The maverick, enigmatic and irresistible musician, makes good music, he defined for himself an incredible lifestyle and he just couldn't stop thinking, close his eyes and of course can't shut his mouth and let corruption, injustice and poverty rule in the Nigerian society and in Africa. In other words,Fela won't let the man die in him, as Professor Wole Soyinka, his cousin narrated in his well-known book titled 'The man Died' Fela Anikulapo-Kuti was born on 15th October 1938 into the famous and influential Ransome Kuti family. He had his early education in Abeokuta and later went to London to study music instead of medicine that he originally came to study in London. Fela was soon back in Nigeria. It seemed that his African beliefs couldn't stand the Europeaness of London. Fela was always making good music! His popular songs Zombie,Beast of no nation, suffering and smiling and Confusion Break bone were all products of a visionary, prophetic and exemplary leadership. Many Nigerians could clearly see that Fela cared a lot for the Nigerian masses and all the downtrodden in Africa and around the world. Today When Nigerians reflect on the political, economic, and ethnicity, problems plaguing Nigeria, Fela is the the first name that would come out of many Nigerian lips! Everything Fela Anikulapo-Kuti said about Nigeria have been fulfilled. No wonder Fela was always clashing with the Nigerian Soldiers, who did everything to break him but all their efforts went into futility. Fela didn't just hate the military for hate sake,he was just a down-to earth Nigerian and an ardent lover of the Nigerian people.NO sooner the democratic process was partially restored in 1992 and the popular June 12 1993 mandate of the widely acclaimed winner, Chief M.K.O. Abiola was annulled by the head of State, General Ibrahim Babangida, and bastardized by some politicians, than Fela called it DemonCrazy! Demonstration of craze, crazy demonstration. If he had lived in the 5th century, Fela could have been named as one of the African gods! His personality was beyond the ordinary, so he was named 'Abami Eda' 'Orisha'. No wonder an Italian came to Nigeria to ask for some Fela's clothes because he would like to worship Fela. Fela's music, lifestyle, courage and human rights activism have written his name in GOLD for posterity. Fela is this writer Nigeria's number one celebrity.

MKO ABIOLA & THE RECCURING POLITICAL DECIMAL

Though he died in 1998, MKO Abiola needs no introduction in Nigeria and i dare say that he also hardly needs introduction around the world. If a man ever lived, who was born without a silver spoon in his mouth, whose name rings a bell in the minds of so many people, a man who had to struggle through his dint of hard work, scholarship and some divine providence to rise from paternal obscurity, racial hindrances and nationality obstacles, to a great height of scholastic erudition, financial prominence and gargantuan eminence in business and politics in Nigeria and around the world,it was the man called Mashood kashimawo Olawale Abiola. He was a man whose passion for generosity and philanthropy was Unequaled since 1960 when Nigeria earned her independence from the British Colonialists till date. Though Nigeria may have had and still have many rich people like Abiola, the question is, if you are as rich or even richer than Abiola, can you spend your money to change/improve the condition of a common and the masses like MKO Abiola did during his lifetime. Little wonder the legendary Fuji Maestro Alhaji Sikiru Ayinde Balogun popularly called 'Alhaji Agba' coined a befitting monetary parlance from the initials of MKO Abiola in three languages English, Hausa and Yoruba. he called him Money,Kudi, OwO. Abiola. Though he had friends in the military,Abiola was their worst critic. He complained about their maladministration and Unwillingness to usher in a democratic government.IN 1993 he was a Presidential flag bearer of Social Democratic Party and it is a well-known truth that MKO Abiola clearly won the election. This story will continue later and it will be published into a full blown book to commemorate 20 YEARS of MKO Abiola's mandate, the JUNE 12 in 2013.

Politics and the death of internal democracy in Nigeria......

Though no fewer than four political parties in Nigeria have representatives at all levels of government in Nigeria,it is absolutely Undemocratic that almost all of them were hand picked into offices. We saw it all at the last local government elections in Lagos,South-West Nigeria and we just saw it all over again at the latest charade called Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Convention held at the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja, Nigeria to elect the new Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party.
During the second republic, we read and saw how our nationalists led by Chief Obafemi Awolowo, Dr Nnamdi Azikwe and Alhaji Aminu Kano, all of blessed memories, meticulously went through the screening and elections of the then UPN,ANPP and PRP.
Alas, since the advent of the fourth republic the reverse seemed to be the order of the day. Former president Olusegun Obasanjo was taken out of prison to contest the 1999 presidential election on the platform of the PDP. He contested the election alongside the man who later became his Vice-president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. After their first term in office as President and Vice-president, a lot of internal bickering was noticed in the four walls of the Peoples Democratic Party. The executives of the party waded into the matter, in the end, the number one citizen of Nigeria and his second in command grudgingly seek a re-election into the offices of President and Vice-president of Nigeria. For the 2007 presidential election, contrary to the norms,President Olusegun Obasanjo picked a former chemistry teacher at the Ahmadu Bello University,Zaria, Kaduna State and the then out-going Governor of Katsina State, as his sole candidate. The internal squabble at the PDP led to the exit of the out-going Vice-president, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar. Though Atiku Abubakar wished to contest as the Peoples Democratic Party candidate for the 2007, presidential election, he was barred from contesting. Alhaji Atiku Abubakar quickly declared his new allegiance with the then Action Congress,a very vibrant political party, which has its roots, majorly in the South-West Nigeria. Due to the large follower ship of Alhaji Atiku Abubakar in the Northern parts of Nigeria, most notably in Adamawa State and maybe because of his marital ties to the South-West, his wife Hadjia Titi Abubakar hails from Osun State, South-West Nigeria. He contested the 2007 Presidential election alongside Senator Bola Tinubu, his Vice-presidential candidate.Back to Lagos, the then out-going Governor, Lagos State,Gov. Bola Ahmed Tinubu against all norms,he singularly picked an Unknown lawyer,Barrister Babatunde Raji Fashola, as the gubernatorial candidate of the then Action Congress party (AC). Those were the days we started digging the graves of internal democracy in Nigeria. Today, in Nigeria, we are seeing not just the death of internal democracy, we can see the graves as well.
Since Nigeria is practicing the Presidential system of government we should learn from the vibrant internal democracy of the United States of America.
Prior to the U.S. Presidential election in 2008,two notable democratic candidates, Mrs Hillary Clinton and Mr Barack Obama slugged it out; before Obama became the overwhelming choice of the people of America. That is the beauty of internal democracy.
Now, the whole world is seeing how the Republicans Mitt Romney, Rick Santorium & co are battling each other for the prestigious party ticket, for the forthcoming U.S.Presidential election 2012. This is the beauty of internal democracy in motion.
